Working With Schools

We work very closely with schools and teachers and have developed a comprehensive programme of school-specific educational and cultural resources.

We have extensive experience of bringing professional drama and performing arts workshops into schools, to complement and enhance existing school drama programmes, or to give children a first introduction to drama within their own school environment.

Bring your class to see a show

How wonderful to be taken to see live theatre with your classmates! We timetable performances of certain of our shows specifically to facilitate school class visits, and we offer special packages to schools and teachers including organising tie-in workshops in your school, to ensure the children understand and build on their theatre visit.

Workshops in your school

We regularly organise drama workshops in schools, either following part of our own curriculum, or linking in to a particular book or theme that the class may be studying. The children are always engaged and motivated by the prospect of an external theatre company coming to visit them, and participate enthusiastically in the workshops. Teachers find their classes and programmes are enriched by the additional content and experience.

Professional development workshops for teachers

We also offer tailor-made workshops for the teaching staff, either for drama teachers to expand the range of techniques and material in their repertoire, or for teachers of other subjects to help them feel use drama in the classroom with confidence. With the IB Curriculum increasingly encouraging the integration of drama in subject teaching, even teachers with knowledge of drama games and activities can benefit from training sessions with our experienced practitioners.
